New SMS Text Module within ElectroSoft
Glenfield Software Ltd are pleased to announce a new module to the ElectroSoft
range allowing the user to send SMS texts from within Electrosoft. With this
module SMS messaging can be sent from any PC running ElectroSoft with internet
access.
In recent times there has been an upsurge in the use of SMS text messaging as
a convenient and fast means of communication with mobile phones, and it has been
realised that SPEED coupled with LOW COST and the accuracy of SMS makes a unique
as well as CONFIDENTIAL means of communication.
ElectroSoft now gives you the option to send your customer an SMS text directly
from the majority of screens where a customer is displayed. ElectroSoft will
automatically use the mobile number held allowing the user the ability to override
this or alternately enter a mobile number.
SMS messages can be sent individually, for example from the Sales
Order Screen, or to multiple recipients via our SMS Bulk Delivery
option. The bulk option can also be used in conjunction with the
Organiser Module or Delivery Scheduler. With the ability to utilise
a keyboard for typing texts and the SMS Templates texts can be
sent quickly and accurately.
A history is also retained with every text message saved as a
Communication against the customer’s record detailing the
Date, Time, Message Contents, Salesperson, Contact Type SMS & Number.

Electrosoft MS SQL Server Version
After many months of development and testing, ElectroSoft SQL
Server version is now available. Utilising the latest database
technology
SQL Server gives ElectroSoft enhanced stability and scalability
for our larger end users. Although our existing database format
is a proven
success, the SQL Server development ensures that ElectroSoft is
future proof.
